Healing Spell: Wicca and Witchcraft

Use this spell to bring emotional or physical healing to yourself (or another, with their permission). You will need: a white taper candle, sandalwood or myrrh oil, sandalwood, myrrh, or frankincense incense, and a quiet, peaceful room.

Cast a circle of energy, if you wish, and prepare your supplies. Sit quietly for a few moments, and center yourself. Relax, letting all tension fall away. Anoint the candle with your oil, beginning from the BASE of the candle, and working upward. As you anoint it, say aloud, "I anoint and charge this candle with the power of the Goddess, and ask that it be filled with Her healing energy." Then anoint your own brow with the oil, and say aloud, "I cleanse myself of all negativity, and prepare myself for the healing energy of the Goddess."

Light the incense, then the candle, and say, "With the lighting of this candle, I welcome the Goddess into my life, and accept her healing with joy and gratitude."

Sit back and breathe deeply and slowly, visualizing the healing energy flowing into you. You can picture the energy as white, blue, pink, whatever color seems most soothing to you. See this energy flowing around and through you, cleansing you and healing you.

Repeat periodically, "I accept your healing, Goddess. I accept your healing." You may also wish to state the type of healing that you are in need of. For example, say, "I release the emotional pain of my past, and the effect it now has on me." Or, "I release my physical pain to you, Goddess, and ask that I be healed of my ills".

When the candle has burned all the way down (or as far down as time allows), sit quietly for another few moments, thank the Goddess, then break the circle, and proceed with your day. This spell works best if repeated on a daily basis, perhaps first thing in the morning. If you don't have a lot of time to wait for the candle to burn all the way down, simply extinguish it after each session, and re-light it the next time.
